The Meaning and Purpose of Life

Here in Mendez in the 32nd year of my life as I await for my companions on this rainy day I have been thinking of how to surmise the purpose of life and here it is.

The meaning and purpose of life is to attain happiness through influence and interchange in the context of Gods Will.

Influence is by far one of the most powerful things which humans posses and are possessed. Usually we think of those that posses wealth and fame as among the most influential today which in many cases is true and shows the power of influence. However among the most important aspects of influence is that of those around us especially family. As humans we are naturally not content to have a sedentary life and are far more happy when we see ourselves progress and advance, this is often sought through material things but it is also true socially and especially within the family. This can be seen in the happiness of parents who have been able to guide and influence their young in a worthy course in life and it cannot be denied that the joy and treasure of grandparents is that of there grandchildren.

The person that has nothing or no one and does nothing for the benefit for others will likely at some point feel very hollow, unfulfilled and unhappy.

So it is that Between couples, children, family and friends that influence and interchange drive us to do many of the things that we do and enjoy. Influencing others and being influenced ourselves is a great privilege as it is a powerful part of our life.

We can by influence greatly enrich the lives of others as also by others our own lives can be enriched. Just as influence can be very powerful to enhance our life and happiness it can also conversely serve against us or others a life of ruin and wretchedness, which is why it is vital to choose influences and use our influence upon others in the context of Gods will and moral code.(which can be for the most part be summed up as, to love our creator with our whole heart and our neighbour as ourselves.) It should also be noted and recognized that our creator is the most important and beneficial influence that we can yield to.

Therefore in summary one of the greatest things that can affect our life, sense of fulfilment and happiness is the influences that we yield to and the measure upon which we can influence others positively. Therefore the meaning and purpose of life in general is to attain happiness through influence and interchange in the context of Gods Will.
