Photos from the field

As you will see Pallatanga is a fertile land that is well cultivated and even in a the spiritual sense the field is being cultivated. For more information on this town there is some very interesting reading in the yearbook of many years ago. Exciting stuff. But things are a lot more peaceful now, although I do recall one time when an old man hobbled out with his machete to threaten us.

Pallatanga has many man made aqueducts that are cut into the side of the hills and traverse progressively to subsequent fields for irrigation.

At the end of this track we found a very lovely family who invited us to sit down and have a nice discussion. The were very  humble and respectful. The brother below now walks a very long way up a step road from the pueblo and then along this track to visit them each week.

The brothers and sisters bellow are out in the work nearly every day. Usually 6 days a week! It was a real pleasure working along with these zealous Pioneers and publishers of the good news.DSC00299
