Let me Expand on at least two of the afore mentioned three things.
COLONIA with familia de Collards
Colonia del Sacramento certainly is hermosa. Across the vast river Rio de la Plata from Buenos Aires lies the country Uruguay and the first port of call is the little village of Colonia del Sacramento. Colonia is certainly much more than just a quaint township though it is a window into the past. This village was founded in 1680!(For the kiwis-this is 160 years before the Treaty of Waitangi was signed) Colonia is now a UNESCO heritage site and great place to spend the day exploring. Here are some photos that may convince you to visit when you are next in Buenos Aires.
Plaza de Torros (Above)
Honestly the photos don't do it justice. If you really want to experiance this place you will simply have to visit. The city can be explored by foot but if your already a bit tired of walking there are some neat and not so antique travel options.(see picture below)
There was one other thing that we found in Colonia del Sacramento which was actually quite a highlight. Not long after we began our excursion had we motored around what was perhaps one of the first corners and there we caught sight of a couple of spiritual sisters busy going about there ministry. We stopped and had a really nice talk one of them was learning a little english to help in preaching to the english field. We were able to give a little assistance and we were all encouraged that here in this little corner of Uruguay as in New Zealand and no doubt the rest of the world the same work is being done with the same demeanour and zeal.
cool blog bro enjoying your account of your travels and the pics. May Jehovah continue to bless you and protect you.
