Lake Sanjuancito named after the flower that grows in its waters. Formed by a dam to help with the irrigation of the towns agriculture, remember this is a wine growing region.DSC05609

Blogging while drinking Mate. Not mate as in mate but as in maaa-tay. When you come to south America you will learn that along with the certain preparation there are also certain customs and etiquette that go along with this drink.

For security South America has different solutions that seem to work quite well. Among these are… armed guards outside banks (generally with semi automatic pistols but sometimes with pump action short barrel shot guns) Dogs are another solution and high walls topped with broken glass is another.DSC06017
