What is it about music that sometimes penetrates the barriers we put up around our heart, it seems to be able to touch us within, to make us feel human and almost vulnerable. I recall recently attending a wedding where after the couple were married they had two flutists play an instrumental song. There was just something in the way they played that made the music seem pure, soulful and meaningful. Was it the music itself, or was it the way it was expressed? I cant say but I suspect that by reason of the times we live in we have become quite guarded even when we perhaps don't even think so, and when it is that we hear something that is not only beautiful & sincere but performed with honesty and from the heart we are touched and we cant help but feel something within .
That probably sounded overly soppy, but I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say.
