Preparations

Well they say if you fail to prepare you prepare to fail. So what is there to do anyways?

Well when you are planning to go to South America or somewhere like that here are some things to think about putting on your to do list,

Visit Travel doctor (Different to G.P)

This includes a mandatory consultation costing around $82.00. Here the doctor will want to know where you will be visiting and for how long.

Based on the information you give, you will receive cautionary advice and recommendations as to what precautions you will need to take. And what jabs you may need. i.e. Yellow fever, Rabies ect.

NOTE: Some jabs i.e. yellow fellow fever are mandatory to gain access to some countries and places. Note also rabies shots take three visits over a period of time (So don't go to the doctor the day before you leave thinking everything will be just fine) Make sure you avail your self of the free lollies, I think one for each jab is more than fair.

Want to save some $$$. Your normal G.P. may be able to provide you with some shots cheaper. However the are not authorized to give out shots like the rabies and yellow fever.
